Your Trusted Guide to the Magic of Morocco.
If you’re here, it means your heart is already dreaming of Morocco. You’re dreaming of the smell of bread baking in the ferran (oven), the sound of Gnawa music in a moonlit square, and the feeling of wonder getting lost in the narrow blue streets of the medina.
This isn’t just another travel website. This is your invitation to see Morocco through our eyes. Not as tourists, but as your local friends and family. Think of us as the cousins who can’t wait to show you our home, share our secrets, and make sure you fall in love with it just as we have.
It all started, as most good things do in Morocco, over a pot of atay (mint tea). We were a group of friends—some of us born and raised in the casbah, others who came as visitors and never found the way to leave—sharing stories.
We talked about the hidden hanout (small shop) in Fes that sells the best msemen, the exact time to watch the sunset over the dunes of Merzouga, and how to bargain in the souk with a smile. We realized that the real magic of Morocco isn’t just in the famous places, but in these little moments that you can only know if you’re from here.
And so, Morocco Travel Guide was born. We made it with a simple goal: to be the guide we would want for our own family visiting from abroad. A guide that feels like home.
We promise to guide you with our hearts. This means:
Sharing the True Morocco: We’ll show you the famous sights, but we’ll also tell you about the quiet garden behind the unmarked door, the village festival that nobody writes about, and which bsara (fava bean soup) stall is the best for breakfast.
Keeping it Real: We’ll give you honest advice. We’ll tell you if a place is worth the hype, how much a taxi should cost from the airport, and how to dress to be respectful in our mosques and villages. No fluff, just the truth.
Traveling with a Good Heart: We believe in baraka. We encourage you to travel in a way that leaves a positive mark. Support local artisans, eat at family-owned dukkans, and learn a few words of Darija (Moroccan Arabic). It will open more doors than any key.
On this blog, you will find:
Itinerary: Practical plans to help you make the most of your time, whether you have a week or a month.
The Food & Drink: From street food to fancy ftour, we guide you to the best tastes Morocco has to offer.
Our Advice: All the tips and tricks you need to navigate Morocco smoothly and respectfully.
This guide is a living thing, made richer by every traveler who adds their story. We’re so glad you’ve found us.
Stay with us a while. Read our stories. Get inspired.
And when you’re ready to plan your adventure, we’ll be here, with the tea ready.
Bslama, fi aman Illah (With peace, in God’s protection),
